Debra Bushnell, FNP
Debra obtained her nursing degree from St Luke’s College of Nursing in 1983 and her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Webster University in Kansas City in 1989. As a Registered Nurse she has over 20 years of experience working in a variety of settings including case management, rheumatology, coronary care, and intensive care. In 2003 she completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program earning a Masters of Science degree from the University of Alaska, Anchorage. She holds a national board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Since graduating, Debra has worked in primary and urgent care. Her focus is on treating patients with chronic and acute health care needs across their lifespan, using a holistic approach with special emphasis on overall health. Debra joined The Family Health Center as a full time nurse practitioner in 2006 and has had the opportunity to be a part of the oldest primary care clinic in the Matanuska Susitna Valley.
Debra enjoys spending time with her husband Eric, a real estate associate broker for Lee Realty, LLC, and her two children. She enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and biking. Debra and Eric are very active in Rotary International and local youth programs. Eric loves helping families find their dream homes while Deb helps them stay healthy and active in this amazing state of Alaska they both call home.
